2026 Rep Tryout & Rep Indoor Conditioning Registration
Applicants will receive confirmation, and acknowledgment of registration, from the assigned REP Coach, within 3 business days. If you have any questions, please use the link at the end of this application.

REP TRYOUTS 

  • Delhi hosts 3 outdoor REP Tryouts each fall, and 1 in the spring.
  • A REP team is, the best of the best, from the pool of players trying out.
  • The REP Coach reserves the right to cut a player after 2 tryouts.
  • The final roster is determined by our certified REP Coaches. working together, over the tryout dates, to select those players who exhibit the skills, determination, and a willingness to learn - all traits needed to build a cohesive successful team.
  • Players who have made the first cut, after fall tryouts, will be invited by the coach to attend our REP Team Winter Conditioning indoor program.
  • The Spring REP Tryout will be open to all new eligible registered players.
  • Those players who have already been cut, can request for a second assessment, in the spring, if they have participated in a Winter Baseball development program and they feel that the skills, that were identified to be worked on, have improved.
  • Players that do not make the REP Team, are encouraged to continue to work on their development.
  • Each player cut will be given an assessment of their skills, identifying those skills that they should focus their continued development.

If you make the REP team a REPlayer is committing to:

  • Prioritizing attendance to practices and games.
  • attending the Southern Counties Baseball Championship Tournament (normally 2nd or 3rd weekend in August).
  • attending the Labour Day weekend Provincial Championship Tournament.
  • supporting Delhi Tigers fundraising activities & community events.
  • paying in full, both the players registration fee, and REP Fee, by registration deadlines

    TRYOUT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

    I acknowledge and understand that the tryout fee of $25.00 is non-refundable. Coaching staff reserve the right to release players after two tryout sessions or anytime thereafter should additional tryouts be required. 

    Players from another local association, within the Southern Counties Baseball Association, or who reside within the Southern Counties Baseball Association jurisdiction, will only be allowed to tryout for a Delhi REP Team, if they have written permission (Permission to Tryout) from their home local association.

    Tier 1 REP Team Permission to Tryout
    Players seeking to tryout for the Southern Counties local, hosting the Tier 1 REP Team,  will require a Permission to Tryout. There is no requirement to tryout in Delhi first. Dates & times will be posted on our website once the dates have been confirmed. 

    Tier 1 REP Teams play with the InterCounty Baseball Association, & travel requirements, to those centres, for games, should be taken into account eg: Brantford, Kitchener, Guelph, London, etc. before trying out.

    Tier 1 REP Team Release to an Neighbouring Affiliate
    Players seeking to tryout for a Tier 1 REP Team, outside of Southern Counties must send their requests to: 
    Tier 1 Information Request 

    You maybe required to attend Tier 1 REP tryouts, in the fall, with the Southern Counties hosting the local Tier 1 REP team, before requesting a release. Failure to do so will void any release request. As this request must be reviewed by both the Delhi Minor Baseball, & the Southern Counties Baseball Associations Executives - do not assume releases will be granted in a short turnaround.

    Delhi Tier 2 REPlayers Wanting to Tryout Elsewhere
    A Permission to Tryout, with a neighbouring local, within Southern Counties, will not be granted, by the Delhi Minor Baseball Association, to any Delhi Player, who fails to attend Fall REP tryouts in Delhi.

    A Delhi Player is defined as an individual who has played REP Baseball in Delhi previously, and all those who reside within Delhi Minor Baseball’s catchment. This excludes REPlayers who played in Delhi under a Permission to Tryout.

    Determining Residency
    Residency is determined by measuring the distance, as the “crow flies”, between your address and the homeplate of the each locals main diamond eg: Delhi’s “main” diamond, is located at the Delhi Arena Diamond, not Delcrest or Courtland. If you live outside the town limits of Delhi, please contact us to help determine your eligibility. 

    Options for REPlayers from within Southern Counties Baseball Association 
    REPlayers who played with Delhi, on “loan” from a neighbouring local association, under a Permission to Tryout, must return to their home local association, at the end of each season. They may be required, by their home local association, to attend their REP tryouts. Only after being cut, are players allowed to request an updated Permission to Tryout letter, before trying out at their next closest neighbouring local association.

    REPlayers, from within Southern Counties, who have been cut from their home local association, after the completion of Delhi’s Fall REP Tryouts, can attend Winter REP Team Conditioning, with a valid Permission to Tryout, that identifies Delhi Minor Baseball as their next closest local association. Online registration and payment is required prior to attendance. Ongoing participation is subject to the discretion of the designated REP Coach - all players trying out will be assessed at minimum twice.

    Options for REPlayers from Outside the Southern Counties Baseball Association 
    REPlayers, from a neighbouring affiliate, external to the Southern Counties Baseball Association, who have been cut from their home local association, after completion of Delhi’s Fall REP Tryouts, can attend Delhi’s Winter REP Team Conditioning, with a valid Release, that identifies Delhi Minor Baseball as their next closest local association. Online registration and payment is required prior to attendance. Ongoing participation is subject to the discretion of the designated REP Coach - all players trying out will be assessed at minimum twice.

    REPlayers Who have Moved into Delhi Minor Baseball Association’s Catchment - Off-Season
    REPlayers who have moved to Delhi Minor Baseball Association’s catchment, after completion of Delhi’s Fall REP Tryouts, have two options available to them.

    A player can continue to play with the local association they previously played REP with, the preceding season. They are permitted to continue to play with this team and association, until they choose to leave, or they have been cut - at this time they become a Delhi player and bound by the REP Tryout requirements. 

    Or they can choose to attend Delhi’s Winter REP Team Conditioning. Online registration and payment is required prior to attendance. Ongoing participation is subject to the discretion of the designated REP Coach - all players trying out will be assessed at minimum twice.

    Registration is Mandatory.
    Failure to complete Registration may result in the participant being denied entry to the tryout. 
    Please note any player who is not in good standing with DMBA will not be eligible to participate in Delhi or any other SCBA centres.
