Newsletter & Season Update
We hope everyone is staying safe & well. Please find the latest update in our first newsletter -
The DugOut Dirt.
While a lot remains unanswered, we have been directed by Baseball Ontario to use this time to
REGISTER YOUR PLAYERS NOW in preparation for Opening Day.
Hello Delhi Tigers,
I hope everyone is keeping well & following proper physical distancing - be confident in knowing that all our collective efforts will hasten to flattening the curve & get us back to playing baseball once again!
A lot has been ongoing behind the scenes & with direction & communications now being provided weekly by Baseball Ontario, DMBA felt it important to share this information with all our Tiger family.
To keep atop of everything that is filtering down to us, we will be providing a weekly update via email, through our Facebook page & @ delhiminorball.com. Our newest edition to improve communications amongst our collective family is our Delhi Tiger Newsletter - The DugOut Dirt.
As you can appreciate a lot of questions remain unanswered, & we speak more in depth to these unknowns in the our first newsletter, but rather than wait until we have all the answers, we have been told by Baseball Ontario to prepare for a 2020 baseball season & …
Register your Players Now!
That said, we realize asking for registration fees may be a lot to ask from families right now, so we waived registration fees as part of the online registration ~ we can worry about payment once we know what our season will look like.
To help prepare for a 2020 season we would like everyone to Register before April 30th
- to register, click HERE.
In our first newsletter, it provides a more detailed summary of multiple other things now being sorted out, including;
• Status of REP baseball, locally, & within Southern Counties;
• Free Video Training Modules made available for “at-home” activities to keep in shape;
• NEW Online Training
o Webinar Based NCCP Coaching Clinics
o Umpire Certification
Accessing training will probably never be easier, as we’ve already been told Baseball Ontario will be going back to the old format of in-class training next year - so if you are interested in becoming an umpire or a certified coach, or updating your status with either, please refer to the newsletter to learn more.
While to some things look bleak, but we have to remain optimistic for our kids, that is why we support Baseball Ontario’s to push forward, as once we can all get back together, with some normalcy, amongst our friends, on the diamond, burning all that pent up energy, we believe it will be a much needed reset for many of our kids who are heavily burdened with the pressure of this changed world.
Enjoy our first edition of our 2020 Newsletter - The DugOut Dirt. If you have ideas, pictures or links which would be of interest to your fellow Tigers, please forward & we will incorporate in future newsletters.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or any other member of the DMBA Executive - we are here to help. We thank you for your continued patience during this uncertain times.
